My
interests lie in the exploration of feeling and sensation though
materials. Although influenced by
ideas which encompass the impermanence of life, sexuality and beauty, often
focussing on the notion of feminine ideals, I am aiming to hide meanings and
destroy narratives. This allows for the nature of the materials that I work
with to be the defining catalyst between form and understanding. These can
range from seductive fabrics to edible ready-mades and are used as extensions
of a concept or in opposition to, creating a paradox or tension within the
piece. |
